Well we had several days in a row with 97-99 degree days. This was no good. Luckily we didn’t have any fish yet. However the water was getting up to 94 degrees. This is stretching it for Tilapia.
I tried pulling the Bells so that the Grow Beds were in a constant flood. That didn’t help a lot. So we got some shade.
I also want to get some reed fencing. Partly to go around the bottoms of the grow beds for looks but also to put around the fish tank because it is a dark color and I believe that would help prevent the sun from being absorbed into the tank. I still notice even with the shade that the tank temp can increase in the evening when the sun is setting.
