So over the last few months we keep adding more and more around our homestead. We have aquaponics over there, a barn over here, chickens and goats going down there. I even set up a deer feeder on the very back of the property for bringing in some deer for hunting season.
I’ve discovered that 10 acres is a lot of area to cover on foot. Especially when I often have to carry a couple hundred pounds of something to go with me. 100 pounds of corn for the deer feeder, a generator and wood for the chicken coop. It’s really been generally tough to get it all carried in a timely manner.
I thought about either an ATV or even better a UTV to get around the property and haul stuff. Unfortunately the majority of the time those are very expensive.
Luckily I just happened to come across a great deal from a company getting rid of a beautiful 48v Golf Cart. As you can see the company was “OZ Saferooms” they make a great above ground tornado shelter if you guys are interested. Anyway they were off loading their golf carts, even after putting new batteries in them for a hard to pass up price. It was less than 1/4th of the price of the UTV I wanted.
I still need to add a dump bed or something to the back so that I can haul stuff better, but this has made it incredibly easier.
This makes it much easier to get around the homestead.
