This weekend seemed to be a really rough one. I’m writing this a few days after the fact but still feeling every muscle. The soreness is taking it’s time to disappear.
Getting the boards all lined out for the walls didn’t take too long. Installing the beams and rafters took a lot longer than I thought it would but went pretty smoothly. Unfortunately you can’t find straight wood in the lumber yards anymore so that posed a problem later.
The OSB, tar paper, and shingles was an all day project in itself. The shingles took a little longer than I thought it would but once we found a nice groove to the work it went pretty quick. My buttocks are killing me though, not sure how real roofers do it all day every day.
There is one picture where Marley just couldn’t hang. After half a day chasing chickens, playing, and sniffing everything he practically collapsed and napped in the dirt until he got his second wind.
